A Wonderful Evening in the Desert of Sharm

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh and take the short drive into the beautiful desert that surrounds Sharm - where the new city hasn't yet spilled over and where it looks largely as it has done for thousands of years.

Upon arriving at the Bedouin camp you'll trek for approximately 25 minutes through the beautiful desert until you reach the authentic Bedouin tent where you can chill out, drink Bedouin tea with herbs and smoke the water pipe (Shisha).

After some relaxing time in the tent amongst some stunning scenery, you'll be served a delicious Bedouin dinner under candle light in the middle of the beautiful Sharm desert followed by a mesmerising show consisting of Bedouin dancing, belly dancing and a Tannura show.

After all of this noise and excitement you'll have some time to sit back amongst the silence of the desert and look up at the spectacular view of the milky way and stars through a professional-grade telescope assisted by our knowledgable guide.

After a fantastic evening of camel riding, drinking, eating, star-gazing and experiencing the life of a Bedouin, you'll be transferred back to your hotel.

Camel Ride, Bedouin Dinner and Star Gazing in Sharm
Me and my partner booked this trip after reading many good reviews on here. Needless to say we were not disappointed! One of the best trips we've ever been on. We were well looked after the whole time. On talking to other people who came to the Bedouin camp via other companies we seemed to have had the best experience. A few complained of being stopped along the way so that locals could try to sell them things, but we never experienced this. A good ride with a short break at the 'echo mountains' once we arrived to the camp we had our camer ride which lasted about 30mins and was great! The guys at the camp made you tea which was quite nice and bottles of water are also provided. The camp was beautifully chilled as the sun set and then food was provided. This was also better than expected! Pasta, chicken, veg, rice, and fizzy drinks. We were told to help ourselves to seconds if we wanted too! Their was then 3 shows - a dancer, a fire show, and a cobra show. All brilliant! We then made our way to the star gazing area where we all got the chance to see Saturn! Amazing!! We then quashed in the dark (not as scary as it sounds) back to the quad base and then we were taken back to the hotel for around 10pm. For £40 each this trip was worth every single penny and I would highly reccomened this company to anyone visiting sharm in the future! This company will always be my first choice when I return :)

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Our guide, Sami, was excellent. He was very attentive and spent a lot of time with us, explaining things and, on the return trip home, gave us lots of local information and answered all our questions. Sami was brilliant. After a short trip into the desert we first had a camel ride which felt longer than 20 minutes. The camel ride took us to the Bedouin tents where we drank tea and helped make the Bedouin bread. After that we climbed a very small mountain to watch the sun set. Although there were other groups of people there, this was very peaceful and tranquil. We then returned to the tents for Shisha and Bedouin food which was lovely. A whirling dervish dance and fire dance followed, both of which were excellent. Then, the highlight for me was the star-gazing. There were telescopes set up to see the moon and Venus and a different guide who was exceptionally knowledgeable talked us through the main stars and constellations, pointing them out with a strong laser. He answered a lot of questions with ease. The sky was so clear you could see the Milky Way, which I've never seen, and even some shooting stars.
If you do go, remember to take a tip for the camel boys.
A brilliant trip with the best guides ever.
Thanks again to Sami,

We met our rep at the beginning of the holiday at the Hotel entrance as agreed and paid our deposits and received our tickets - he also advised us what we need to take on each trip - on this trip we just need scarves but these were availabe to buy on arrival

The young man who accompanied us on this trip was brilliant (didn't get his name but he was from Alexandria?) and he really made the trip special.

The camel ride was excellent, if a little uncomfortable!! The bedouin tent was a great experience, the food was smashing and the entertainment was great (I'm running out of adjectives!!)

The sky was so clear and my husband and daughter were amazed to be able to see the Milky Way

All in all a great trip, would definitely recommend

Camel Ride, Bedouin Dinner and Star Gazing in Sharm
Fantastic excursion, the camel ride was more comfortable than anticipated. The whole Bedouin camp experience was great, good food, friendly people and a great show and a smoke of the shisha pipe to top it off.
As for the star gazing words are not enough, it is a must do, and the guy explaining the constellations was brilliant.
Also our tour guide H was a great guy, very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Camel Ride, Bedouin Dinner and Star Gazing in Sharm
Brilliant from start to finish! Started a little earlier than we would have expected (we were picked up at 3pm!) but still worthwhile and also cost a lot less than doing the same excursion with the travel agents in resort so we were pleased to have pre-booked with Sharm Excursions! Despite having been apprehensive about the "camel ride" part of the trip - it was actually a lot more fun and easier than you might think (although most of the men were complaining that it was more than a little uncomfortable for them... if you know what I mean!) though even they all seemed to love it.

On arrival a group of Bedouin children were on hand to guide our camels through the fairly remote desert location to the tent where the nights entertainment would unfold. Despite being tiny, these kids seriously knew what they were doing and you felt confident in them, but be aware that they have angelic little faces that make it impossible to say no when they are fleecing you for tips and believe it or not your jewellery when you get to the end!

But was well worth it... we then went and learned a bit more about their culture from our lovely and knowledgeable guide Sammy while we enjoyed tea and had a go at making bread.

Next was a climb up a small "mountain" (more of a large hill) to watch the glorious sunset - great photo opportunity but a fairly treacherous climb for the girls in flipflops... make sure you take the right footwear!) before heading back down for an opportunity to enjoy more drinks and enjoy a shisha, if that's your thing.

All the drinks were included (tea and soft drinks) and then food was served which was actually a fairly impressive buffet-style affair which seemed to go down really well, and there was opportunity to buy local jewellery and herbs before the evenings entertainment started.

The dancers were exceptionally good, and then we moved out of the tented area and into the desert for the star-gazing bit. This was every bit as good as we expected, but with the added enhancement that the astronomer who looked after the group was exceptionally knowledgeable and made it all very interesting, addressing all questions thrown at her and giving great insights as to what we were looking at. There was even the option to get a photo of the moon through the telescope on your digital camera.... brilliant!!!!

Highly recommended, full night of entertainment.

Hi,

We are 2 adults and 1 child currently staying at the Royal Holiday Resort.

We would like to go on the Camel Ride, Bedouin Dinner and Star Gazing trip next week - are we able to pay for this trip in full by cash as we have no way of paying by credit card?

We can pay a deposit if you have a rep coming to the hotel or any pick up / drop offs at our hotel.

We are "Sinai Only" on our passports - is this a problem? Do we need a visa for this trip?

Also, do you do any glass bottom boat trips?

Many thanks,

Matthew

Hi. I'm due to visit Sharm (will be there on monday). Will need a visa to go on a stargazing trip? Thankyou.

Regarding the Egyptian Visa : You must get the Egyptian visa before you leave your country or upon your arrival at Sharm airport if you will go on one or more of these excursions : Cairo by bus or Plane , Luxor by plane , Ras Mohamed by bus , Colored Canyon , Super Safari but all other excursions you don't need this visa . If you need this visa you will get it from the bank at the arrival hall upon your arrival at Sharm airport the cost per person only 10 GBP. Then you will put this visa stamp and go to passport control , it takes about 10 minutes , then across to the place where you will get your luggage and after that you will leave to your hotel
