What Our Customers Say

All of the below comments are written by our customers!

We went with Sharmexcursions.com to Cairo by bus on the 30th August and it was amazing! We had a fantastic time whilst in Cairo the only downside being the long coach trip there and back. I would reccomend using this company to anyone as we were very well looked after and our tour guide was also brilliant. He was not only knowledgable but also had fun with us and was honest about Cairo itself.
Thankyou guys, you were brilliant!

We went on the 1 day coach trip to Cairo and from start to finish was an excellent day. Yes it was a 24 hour day having left at 1:00am but worth it. Coach was air conditioned, drinks on board and some lovely people. We arrived in Cairo and went to the Egyptian Museum first, Papryus Shop, Cruise down the Nile with Lunch, then the Pyramids/Sphinx and finally onto the Perfume Shop. The whole day was fantastic and Abraham our guide was very professional and knowledgable. I wouldnt hestitate to use this company again.

Hello, having returned from a wonderful trip to Sharm -el Sheik I want to say that the above company have been brilliant. I booked them to transfer us from the airport to the hotel and for 2 excursions and dealt with Mohammed who was very helpful. However when we arrived at the hotel we found that there was no booking for us (but that is another story) but the rep Sadeek and Isan the driver did not abandon us. they stayed with us, drove us around town and took us to another hotel.

Next day when Isan --brilliant driver , we called him Micheal Shaumaker--and Mido collected us for the Bedoiun trip they were on time, very proffessional, friendly, funny, grat company to be with and they went out of their way to make it a great experience for us.

Then we went on the Mount Sinai trip with Mahmoud and his driver and they too were great.

After the bad experience we had at the start of the holiday these guys restored our faith and made our holiday really good.

We would have no hesitation in recommending them and would love to go back to Egypt and would definitely be booking this company again...wouldnt even think of using any other one.

Exellent day would highly recomend, we just got back this morning. Very knowledgeable tour guide, Mohammed i think. I did have trouble understanding him but thats because i have hearing problems and mixed with his accent did not work for me but was A ok for every one else. very child friendly and did pay attention to our four year old son ver well. only one down side is that you get left at Cairo airport for 4 hours at the end of the day without having had an evening meal and no facilities for this at the airport. If this had been offered as an extra we would have chosen it especially travelling with kids. overall though a day you will never forget.

This trip was brilliant, well organised and our guide Abdul was amazing. We were picked up at the hotel in Sharm and taken to the airport, in Cairo we were met by Abdul. The whole day was fantastic and I would recommend this trip to anyone. I will use sharm excursions again on my return to Egypt. Abdul was brilliant. Thanks for a great day

We returned from Sharm on 5th August 2010. I booked some excursions prior to depature with this company albeit with some trepidation initially.
I need not have worried. Everything about this company is very professional. We did the day trip to Cairo by plane and had a wonderful and memorable day. Our tour guide was Abdul and he was so knowledgeable about all aspects of ancient Egypt,it was mind blowing. He spoke very good English and his sense of humour came free!
Mohamed organised our booking for us with two Excursions and pick up and drop off at the airport on arrival and departure.Everything went according to plan and was very well organised.
If you are visiting Sharm, I would have no hesitation in recommending this company for all your Excusions. They deserve to succeed in business because they are competitive, very efficient and extremely professional.
Thank you Mohamed and Abdul for a wonderful experience.

i would like to thank Sharm Excursions for the best day of our holiday and one of the best experiences of our lives! It was a very long day, but so worth it, and we learned a lot from our guide. We just wished we had booked more excursions with Sharm as the ones we booked with our tour operator were very dissapointing.

I would just like to thank sharmexcursions.com for the best experience with a tour operator I have ever had! The Cairo by bus excursion was mindblowing, I learnt so much whilst on this trip and the guys who looked after us were perfect! We decided to go home with the rest of our group on the first night as we didn't fancy a second night in Cairo as I was feeling ill, our guide offered us a refund which we said we didn't want as we had decided to cancel our second night ourselves, roughly 3 hours on our way back to Sharm our guide came to us on the coach and said he'd organised us a camel ride and bedouin tea with stargazing included instaed of our refund!!! Absolutely first class service from absolute first class people who work for a first class company!!! An excellent day in Cairo made perfect by this company!!! Thanks sharmexcursions.com!!!

Hi there!!

Was just writing to you to thank you for your help when we were in Egypt! I have been so busy since i came back to Scotland that this email is long overdue and i do apologise for this.
We went on the Quad Biking and Cairo by bus tours just over 2weeks ago, and both were amazing. Abdu was our tour guide in Cairo and was great and really imformative and kind to us, everything we were looking for. The quad bikes were a reat experience and the guides were really friendly.

My only complaint is the men that pick us up from our hotels did not tell us where we were going in the minibus, and that can be a bit scary when you dont know anyone or the area. A few people did not realise we were being driven to a coach after everyone was picked up and thought we were heading to Cairo in a small mini bus. Also the time is nearer 8hours than 6hours as advertised by the time everyone is picked up. But these are minor issues.

I had a wonderful time in Sharm and Cairo, and would like to thank your company. If i ever come back to Egypt I will use your service again.

Thank you.

Before arriving in Sharm, we had booked the three day private trip to Cairo, Alexandria and Luxor by plane. Mohammed, the tour operator, was fantastic in responding to any questions and requirements we had. Once a small deposit was paid, we were informed that a colleague would meet us at the hotel. The Rep was on time, and explained the program for all days clearly. We were collected from our hotel and driven to the airport. Once arriving in Cairo, we were met by our Tour Guide, Maya. She was again fantastic, very knowledgeable, considerate, friendly. She explained everything clearly, and left us no room to ask her any questions. We visited the Pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum, Muhammed Ali Mosque, Perfume Shop, A Papyrus Institute and had a lovely ride on a felucca to have lunch. The hotel arranged for us in Cairo was fantastic, with a beautiful view of the pyramid. Our second day was in Alexandria, again with Maya. Here, we visited the Catacombs of Al-Shukafa, Pompey's Pillar and the Library, with lunch, again in a beautiful restaurant towards the Mediterranean Sea. We then flew out to Luxor, and met our Tour Guide, Hamada. Again, the hotel was lovely. Our day in Luxor started with a hot air balloon ride over Westbank, which was marvellous, We visited the Factory of Statute, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, felucca ride for lunch and the Karnak Temple. We had a slight problem with the tour guide's attitude, however, once we called and spoke to Mohammed, he was very considerate and arranged other attractions for us, to try and make our day more enjoyable. He was successful...lol...!!

These three days with sharmexcursions were so fantastic, that once we arrived back in Sharm, we also booked the Crocodile and Snake Show, Glass Boat and Alif Leila Wa Leila (1001 Nights Show), with the Rep being Mahmoud.

Sharmexcursions is a very well organised company. All transfers in vehicles were all fully air-conditioned. Time-keeping was great from their side at all times, and for all excursions, and all the staff we met were brilliant. They were friendly, helpful, and basically treated us like family, all going out of their way for us. If I was to ever visit Egypt again (which is more than likely), I would definitely book our excursions with them, as well as, highly recommend this company to all. I can honestly say, sharmexcursions is the best tour agency in Egypt. Their prices are very reasonable and a lot cheaper than other companies.

A great Thank You to Mohammed, Mahmoud, and Maya for making our trip most memorable and amazing.

A trip to Cairo basically sells itself and is a must do excursion when in Egypt. It is debatable whether to do the 1 day or 2 day trip. The day trip is long and the sights are seen at a rather quick pace. Despite this it was great. The guide, Will, was very knowlegable, friendly and helpful. Being a solo traveller he took the time to sit and speak to me at various points of the journey which helped make the whole experience better. I also met some nice people also on the trip.
My main concern before I left on my 1st trip with sharmexcusions (I booked 4) was the idea that the prices were 'to good to be true' given that this trip was £100 cheaper than through the holiday company I booked the holiday with. I had nothing to worry about the excursion was great and had the same itinerary as the more pricy options. It was probably better as the groups were smaller and we received a more personal service.
I will definately recommend this trip with Sharmexcursions to everyone.
Ensure that you bring LE£1 coins for the toilets and small denominations for buying stuff. Prepared to haggle and to be pestered by the sellers in the area. Oh and free gifts from the locals generally require a free gift back, if you know what I mean. Great experience though.

Possibly one of the best excursions. Relaxed, atmospheric and definately an experience.
We were taken by camel to the camp where we climbed a small rocky outcrop in the mountains to see the sun set. We then settled in the camp where we were fed lamb (the first time I ate lamb since I was a child and it was great), chicken, flat bread rice and vegetables. We then had some Hibiscus tea which was very good ( I later bought some to bring home).
There was the show, belly dancer, african dancers and another traditional and very colourful dancer. We had a go at the belly dancing and it was all in good humour. Some of the guys had a go at making the bread as well.
We ended the night with a little star gazing with a huge telescope. The guide for this was very knowlegable and pointed out the various significant constalations and showed us the moon, and Saturn through the telescope.
The whole excusion was led by Mahmoud (Moody) who was brilliant. Again, knowlegable and fun. He took the time to ensure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience.
A great excursion for a chilled cultural evening. I would definately recommend this.

My boyfriend and I booked this trip after reading so many good reviews, and i can honestly say that it was worth every penny!! The whole group had such a great day and we couldn't have asked for a better guide....Abdou is hillarious and has so much knowledge about the history of the pyramids, sphinx and faros.
This was probably the best day of my entire holiday and I would definately recommend Sharm Excursions to anyone that plans a trip somewhere - I personally wouldn't book with anyone else!!
Thank you so much Abdou and Sharm Excursions!! :)

We were met by our guide Abdo who stayed with us for the day. I cannot praise him enough, he is a very intelligent, passionate man who knows his stuff! He made the trip for us. Thanks alot for a great day!

Having used this company for Sharm excursions we contacted them for a Cairo excursion in Cairo. They were 1st class as usual and Mohamed came up trumphs again. Our guide in Cairo (Will) gave us a wonderful day at the Egyptian Museum, lunch on the Nile, Pyramids at Giza, Sphynx tour and a perfume factory near a cotton mill. Trust me try this company 4 value for money - this day cost us £50.00 each all in - could not beat this for value !!!!!!!

This trip to Cairo by bus is well worth it even though it’s a long journey.
We booked it from home about 3 weeks before we went, paid a small deposit. Mohamed is very good, returned emails etc very quickly and professionally. When we got to our hotel we met with one of his reps the next morning as arranged and paid the balance.
He explained all about the trip. The trip on the coach is a long journey but time seemed to go quicker than expected also if you can sleep it helps. Cairo was amazing, very busy and an eye opener.
The pyramids were awe inspiring, amazing! We also got to see the Sphinx, museum, papyrus shop, perfume shop and a meal on a boat on the Nile... this trip was worth every penny. The tour guide was very good and knowledgeable. I will be using this company again in the future, excellent.

Great job , guys! We just returned from our trip to Sharm el Sheikh and it was absolutely super! I must confess that at the beginning we had our doubts regarding the trips and the security of these new adventures (for us, first time to Egypt), but I can really confirm that we had no worry during our holiday. The trip to Cairo, managed by Abdo and Hesham was the best ever, the Pyramids are fantastic, never seen something like this before. Abdu was absolutely sensational, told us a lot about Egypt's history, about the pharaohs and mummification, pyramids, kings and wars, has captured the attention throughout the entire walk to museum with extraordinary insights into Egyptian life. One well prepared guide as he gained our confidence instantly.

We entered inside the Pyramids also, challenged experience for all of us. The climbing through the Canyon could never be done without the help of Hesham, he did such a great job in ambitioning all of us to go till the end of the challenge. It was a little difficult for some of us but I believe that at the end we all had that feeling of satisfaction. We lived some moments when we did worry if we were able go all the way, but with the help of the Bedouin (sorry but don’t know his name ) and Hesham we succeeded. It was a super adventure and it was worth the effort.
Bedouin world was marvel for us, we were very curious about their lifestyle, they were very hospitable and we felt very well there. Belly dancing girls and little party after relaxed us. Tea was great! Food was super! And ride camels ... wow! We have only words of praise.

You have organized the most beautiful trip of our lives, we met another world, civilization and was very nice.

So, we would like to thank you in this way for this wonderful experience and hope that we will met again. We welcome you in Bucharest, if you ever decide, Hesham you are our hero and we thank you very much. We loved you all very much and we are waiting you in Bucharest to see our world. You'll enjoy it, the weather is cooler here :)), No dessert here! :)).

Thank you. Hope will met again!

Hello! Egypt has a lot of nice and interesting places with a lot of history to find out about. With the help of our guide HESHAM SAQR, we ride the camels thru the desert until a beduin tent. There we found out about thir history, the way they live. They presented us a special show, where you can participate if you have the pleasure. The sky with all of his stars we had them presented by an specialist. I don't want to say more, just that we had a great excursion with the help of our guide, Hesham Saqr,a great person. I wish you all a great vacation!!!

I booked this trip from the UK - feeling nervous that I was paying a deposit for something and may never hear from the company again! Needless to say I needn't have been worried. Everything was organised extremely efficiently and myself and my family went on our 1 day tour to Luxor in April 2010 - John was our guide. He was full of interesting information and was a fantastic guide, spoke english fluently and because there were a total of 6 in our group our trip was tailoured to our needs. It was extremely hot but an amazing day. Thank you Sharm Excursions but particularly John - he definately deserves more work and a pay increase!

I have never booked excursions over the internet before but decided against leaving it until the last minute at the resort – so I did an internet search and came across Sharm Excursions.com. The communications I had by e mail with Mohamed were spot on and we only paid £45 deposit for the 4 excursions the rest in cash when we got there. No problems at all with this – now for each excursion……..

Quad biking – this was well worth the £20 each it cost. We visited a valley which echoed, and had tea in a Bedouin camp. Highly recommended and don’t forget the scarf and sun glasses to cover your head and face.

Cairo by plane – A very long day but well worth the effort. The museum with Tutankhamen’s effects is fantastic and well worth a visit with a very knowledgeable guide – it we had only done this we would still have been happy with our trip. The pyramids were personally a bit of a let down being so close to Cairo and having people climbing all over them and trying to sell you things………………… but we have seen them now and that is what we wanted. The only down side (and this is nothing that Sharm Excursions.com can do anything about) is Sharm and Cairo airports – absolutely bedlam – 4 flights leaving from the same gate with an hour of each other - no visual displays or information – and in Cairo a very small waiting area, claustrophobic and a feeling of being herded like sheep. Mohamed arrived at our place of lunch (which was very good), after a trip down the Nile (extra £10 but again well worth it rather than negotiate Cairo traffic) to make sure all was well – I asked if he could get the driver to stop at a pharmacy for some more sun block – this he did and he paid for it – now that’s what I call service. Take plenty of sun cream and water with you – they don’t confiscate it at the airport – you can take it through security and onto the plane unlike here in the UK!!!!!!!!

Bedouin Show and Dinner – Brilliant – personal guide and very smart car to take us the half hour ride – saw the sunset over the mountains - ate very good Bedouin food – drank tea with them – could have smoked a shish pipe if we wanted to and then joined in with the home made dancing and entertainment – all in all an excellent couple of hours. I should also point out that we were due to do this tour on the Friday, but after a phone call personally to Mohamed he changed it to the Saturday for us – great service – thanks Mohamed.
Overall I think we got value for money. If we go back to Sharm El Sheikh we will have no hesitation in booking with Sharm Excursions.com again.

A fantastic, if tiring, day. Our guide in Cairo, Ibrahim, was a wealth of knowledge. There were 3 of us on the tour so we were able to ask questions at any time- unlike some of the tour groups of 30+ people going round.

In the museum Ibrahim really made us 'work' for the information he was giving us- asking us why we thought things might or might not have happened. He kept testing us us as well on facts he'd already told us and was just the thing to make this an even more memorable trip.

Lunch was OK- nothing to write home about and certainly not the 5* restaurant we'd been promised. But all perfectly edible.

The part of the trip where we went to the Pyramids and the Sphinx was superb. Again, Ibrahim's knowledge was excellent and the minibus took us from site to site. Ibrahim was always offering to take pictures and they came out very well.

We went to the papyrus and perfume factories- I could have done without seeing either of them personally but I guess they were both interesting.

The traffic in Cairo is horrendous and when our guide said at 4.30 that the day was over and we'd be taken for our 7.30 flight I imagined being at the airport for an age. It took as at least an hour and a half!

All in all, an unforgettable day and well worth the money.

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday to Sharm; one of the highlights was a trip to Cairo with Sharm excursions. The whole day ran so smoothly & for us the real bonus was having our own guide, Radwi, who was amazing. We had not realised that this would be a private tour - so were pleasantly surprised to arrive at Cairo airport to find it was just the 2 of us & Radwi, with our own driver at our disposal for the whole day. We learnt so much about the history of your wonderful country & can't wait to return soon. We will reccommend Sharm excursions to all friends travelling to Egypt for a holiday. Thank you Mohamed for making our holiday so memorable.

If you want value for money, then this day trip into the desert gives you just that. You get real exposure to the desert and the opportunity to clamber through the spectacular coloured canyon. Our guide was Hisham who was absolutely superb gven the age range of the party. Lunch was taken in Dahab overlooking the Gulf of Aqabar with the mountains of Saudi Arabia in the distance. a camel ride on the beach and also the opportunity to snorkel at Blue Hole were added bonuses to a trip the highly among the several excursions we booked through Mido at Sharm Excursions.

Submitted By Bob Hayton on 16/03/2010

This was the last of my excursions during my holiday, arranged during my stay by the ever helpful Mido my guide for the day was John. Knowledgeable and friendly, John knows just how much information to give and when to guide and when to let you explore. The Valley of the Kings is stunning with Hapchepsuts Temple be absolutely stupendous but the jewel in the crown of the day is Karnak Temple. But it's not all walking round ancient monuments and lunch on the banks of the Nile pluds the opportunity of either a boat trip on the river or horse drawn carriage tour of Luxor is the perfect way to end the day in relaxing style.

Submitted By Bob Hayton on 16/03/2010

Accompanied by Hisham & Mido this excursion was a pleasure, although a more comfortable camel would have been a bonus. The Bedouin tea was excellent and the opportunity to make bread the native way a real insight. The trip was topped off with the opportunity to watch the sun set over the mountains, and if you don't dfeel up to climbing Mt Sinai for the sunrise, this is the next best thing.

Submitted By Bob Hayton on 16/03/2010

This was the first of 4 excursions I booked with Sharm through Mido and the whiole trip ran like clockwork. Met by our tour guide Abdul in cairo, he proved to be friendly and able to pitch the whole trip at the right level, not mean feat in keeping the interest of a group consisting of 3 adults and 3 children under 10. Abdul was a master at being able to theme the tour, particularly in the museum where it would have been so easy to have overloaded us with information or lost the interest of the kids. If you want good photos at the pyramids then he know all the angles and became well and truly a member of the group by the end of the day.

Submitted By Bob Hayton on 16/03/2010

I booked this excursion purely because it was there to be done and am I glad i did. Physically challenging, but rewarding all the same and the climb to the summit is worth the effort for the sunrise and spectacular views. Our Bedouin guide was excellent, getting us to the summit in good time, and sociable and helpful on the daylight descent to St Catherines. Our guide from Sharm was Hisham, friendly and helpful and able to pitch the tour around the monastery at just the right level for a group on somewhat weary tourists.

Hi Mohammed,

Just a line to say thanks for the great service provided on our recent day out to Cairo. I loved flying with PAS.

Please pass on our thanks to our guide for the day, Abdul. He made the day interesting and really brought to life the history of Eqypt. I would happily use the services of Abdul again and recommend him to others. Our group was small and this helped enhanced the experience for us. It helped that Abdul was flexible with the arrangements and possessed a good sense of humour!

Tell Abdul from me I've ordered my copy of the much recommended "The Bucket List"!

Best wishes

The trip to Cairo was really great. We had paid for a group trip, but since we were the only english speaking people for the day, we had the tour guide and driver just for ourselves. The guide, Abdo, was really good. He really knew what he was talking about, and he was also a great guy. We have no negative comments about the driver or the car either. Also the lunch restaurant was nice, it was a ship shaped building in Nile with good food and personnel.

We exchanged several emails before our trip which was helpful. On arrival we were met next day by the local rep "Mousey" who was fantastic. We booked the glass bottom boat with him and it was as good as the other trips. We will return to Sharm in 2011 and will have no hesitation in contacting Mohamed to book our trips with him, including our airport/hotel transfers. I thought that this trip was horrible. The first part was fine when a man was performing with cobras but when 2 chinese men started beating the crocodiles it turned my stomach. My children were very upset and we had to leave. I would not recommend this trip to anyone.

Over Christmas 2009 I visited Sharm El Sheikh in a group and we took a day trip by plane to Cairo to visit the Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids at Giza.

We used Sharm Excursions who were excellent, we booked in advance on their website, with only a small deposit necessary. We were met at 0430!, taken to the airport, where we flew to Cairo, visiting the museum and pyramids and also taking in the obligatory trips to a "traditional" papyrus factory and perfume producer - these were informative and enjoyable (as long as its always understood that there should be no pressure to buy - which there wasn't). The pyramids and museum were amazing. I thought we might be rushed round the museum, which would have disappointed me, but were not, and had ample time to see the major exhibits.

I'm not usually a fan of trips, but this one was great value, particularly as getting into the museum is a nightmare (and is not well documented once inside), and there are lots of touts at the pyramids - no problem for us with our guide.

There was one small charge for a boat trip to our restaurant for lunch, which we knew about in advance, so no cost surprises. The lunch did its job, but nothing to write home about!

The organizer in Sharm and the guide in Cairo were absolutely superb: charming, efficient and extremely informative (I suspect the Cairo guide was ridiculously overqualified for his job). We had an absolutely great day, and as I'll be back in Egypt fairly frequently for work, I'll definitely be using this company again. Petra here I come!

We went with this company on the strength of good reviews from other travellers, and how right they were.
We were looked after very well, especially in Cairo by Lilly, she was a real tonic and was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The trip went like clockwork, yet there was no sense of urgency at all. There was time to sample some of Egypt's finest treasures and also time to relax. Sharm excursions make you feel safe and confident, which was important for us as it was our first time abroad. They handle the flights and timetable extremely efficiently.
We will certainly use Sharm Excursions on our holiday there this March and when we return in 2012 with our family.
Luxor was also a great day out, even if the guide was not so good at his scheduling and leaving a long empty slot before our return flight. However with very little encouragement, he was easily persuaded to arrange an extra trip up the Nile to Banana Island. Very hot there in June.
The Coloured Canyon is also spectacular. In summer it is difficult to pick out the true colours within the rocks, but the mountains and canyons are awesome nevertheless. Word of warning though, avoid the very hot summer months unless you are very fit, and take something soft to sit on ...... the canyon floor is very very very bumpy and hard on the coccyx, and it can reach 50 degrees and more there.
To summarise, if you want a real Egyption experience (with a rew little touristy bits included of course) then we would definitely recommend Sharm Excursions.

We have just come back from Sharm and used Sharm Excursions for airport transfers, quad bike and cario by plane excursions. Everything was arranged with excellent customer service and very good value.

Thank you to Mido for all your help. And to Abdu for making the day in Cairo very enjoyable and interesting.

Would recommend Sharm excursions to everyone and will be using you again the next time we return to Egypt.

Many Thanks

Hi Mohamed

I just wanted to say what an excellent private tour you organised for us to Cairo on the 29th January. Abdu (apologies if wrong spelling) was an excellent guide and our driver was also extremely pleasant. Having a guide who was so knowledgeable made the day extra special. It was also extremely kind of you to have Abdu take us for dinner, it was a wonderful experience as we would never have been able to find somewhere where all the locals eat without Abdu. He also organised the Sound and Light Show tickets for us to give us something else to see before we returned to the airport for our flight back to Sharm.

Guide - excellent
Driver - excellent
Man who accompanied us into the airport - also very good. Helped us get Visas. Sorry but I have forgotten his name !

Points to note
- You won't necessarily be on the plane with the same people you are picked up with. Whoever picks you up also appears to be doing pick ups from other companies.
- The plane used I didn't feel completely safe with. It seeemed quite old and the staff not very happy.
- Felt pressured to buy in the perfume shop. The man refused to sell small / half bottles. Got the impression he thought all tourists were rich.
- The papyrus shop - the prices appear to be set but are not. Wish we had been warned.
- We had to leave our bags in the car at some points, and my debit card was stolen at some point during our time in Cairo.
- would have preferred more time at the pyramids, and didn't get to see the Temple next to the Sphinx at all as we ran out of time.

Overall very good. The guide in particular I was very impressed with.

Hi,

we've been there and it was great, just great!! Hisham Saqr was our guide all day long and and he showed us really wonderfull things and places, evenso in the dessert as on the road. On this day we met "the real life of Egypt" and we are thankfull just to witness it.
We had our lunch in a small restaurant with a great view over a really amazing sea and yes we loved it...
Thanks Hisham Saqr, for this great day. I will recommend it!

I have just returned from Egypt – Sharm El Sheikh yesterday. I booked most of my excursions with Sharm Excursions.com and am very impressed with the quality of service received. Mohamed Mahdy provided me and my sisters with a truly remarkable experience through the excursions and through his team of professional and friendly tour guides – Zizo, Abdul, Mohamed Badawy and Mido. Each excursion provided exactly as promised and advertised on the website.

Abdul was our tour guide in Cairo on Saturday 30th Jan 2010, he was really informative and a great photographer. He took wonderful pictures for everyone when we visited the Pyramids and the Sphinx. Oh and a great dancer too. He also has a very good sense of humour and a wicked laugh. I can still hear his laughter in my head.

Mohamed Badawy was our tour guide for the camel ride, Bedouin dinner and star gazing excursion on Friday 29th Jan 2010. He made us feel very welcome and made us laugh though-out this excursion. I asked him many questions which he answered. He made us feel involved in this excursion, especially when cooking the bread.

Mido who was our main tour guide in the past week, was extremely helpful, kind and friendly. He helped us get our visa’s and upon cancellation of the dive, due to weather conditions, he took us to Old Sharm. He has been truly remarkable, providing us with great hospitality through-out the past week - Shukran Mido.

This has been my first holiday and it was perfect. Mohamed Mahdy made sure that everything ran smoothly without problems, from the beginning of each excursion until the very end. In fact, he was in touch with me via email before I had actually booked any excursions and after my booking, dealing with my questions, concerns and queries not only about the excursions, but about Egypt in general in a timely manner. I am really happy that I booked with Sharm Excursions and have absolutely no regrets. Sharm Excursions have satisfied and pleased me with their services. I would highly recommend Sharm Excursions and would definitely book again with them in the future.

A big thank-you to Mohamed Mahdy and his team – Zizo, Abdul, Mohamed Badawy and specially to Mido. It all seems like a magnificent, magical dream. Stay in touch and best wishes.

Just to say a big thank you to Mohammed and his team for helping to make our holiday fantastic. We booked trips to Cairo by plane, personal tour and the Quadbiking Safari.
At all times we felt safe, we hit a few problems when flying in and had severe delays, this was no problem as Mohamed immediately re-organised our trips for us to more suitable days and times.
The trips are very well organised and smooth running, the team at Sharm Excursions are all very confident, knowledgeable, friendly and professional.
The Cairo trip was great and the Quad bikes were fabulous fun, we enjoyed so much, nothing was too much trouble, after the storm and problems flying to Egypt it even felt as though Mohammed had organised the lovely weather for us, lol !
Prices with Sharm Excursions are lower than with Holiday Companies and, from talking to people who had been on trips that way, it felt as though we had had the far better deal and and fabulous experience.
So, once again big thanks to a great team of people, Medo, Maya, Issam, Zizo, Mahmoud, Mohammed who made our stay so enjoyable.
Would not hesitate to recommend you.

We booked a trip to Cairo with Mohamed and every thing went well with the booking and paying the balance of the money, the night we was due to go we had the worst storm for about 15 years (in fact the only storm) it was so bad that our hotel was flooded with the roof falling in and it knocked the mobile's out for 24 hours, but soon as the mobile's was back up and running Mohamed rang us up at 8a.m. and by 11 a.m. we had all our money was returned to us by Mohamed, so I would have no trouble in either recomending them or useing them again

The problem with staying in an all inclusive hotel, is that there is a certain reluctance to leave the bar at the end of the night. We had lost count of the number of vodka shots that had followed cocktails, but we had some vague recollection of going to bed at one in the morning and getting up at four in the morning, to be ready for this trip. So yeah, blurry eyed and totally hanging, we waited for the bus to take us to the airport. The bus was late and we had all the horrible thoughts that we had been tucked up like a pair of very English kippers. fear not, the bus finally picked us up and after a lot of faffing about trying to pick up a couple of Germans, who refused to get out of their pits, we finally made our way to the airport.

An hour later and we are dumped out in Cairo airport. There was a vague instruction to meet our local guide somewhere, but that was lost in translation, or vodka addled ears, and we found that our local guide was nowhere to be seen. Panic set in and the horrible feeling that it had all gone wrong was setting in.

Someone pointed us to the exit and we sort of shuffled along towards what can only be described as Wesley Snipes in Blade. This guy was standing there with a long leather jacket on, designer everything, including the shades.

It was a case of, "Oh my God, are we about to give ourselves up to the Cairo Mafia????"

As it happened, the guy was pure salt of the earth, he warned us of the pitfalls and kept up very safe. He was also very funny and witty.

The Museum was OK, if a little tired.

The Nile boat trip was ace.

The Nile lunch was very good.

The papyrus shop was good.

The pyramids and sphinx were brilliant.

The perfume shop was ok but by then, so totally hanging...

The flight back to Sharm was later than expected, so hanging about for far too long at Cairo airport, which has nothing other than a small cafe.

All-in-all, a good company who had our interests at heart. It would have been so easy to let us find our own way and fall down at the money points, but they kept our money in our pockets for us.

If you want a five star service, use this company :o)

I booked 3 excursions with this company and I can tell you I was not disappointed. This was my first time in Egypt and I was so glad that I used this company. There were 3 adults and 1 child aged 5 on my trip. I was collected from my hotel on time by the lovely Essam from Sharm Excrsions and driven in a lovely car and he offered us refreshments during the car journey. he was very professional as well as helping us enjoy our trips. He took photos for us and nothing was to much bother for him. He was really helpful form start to finish. When we went on the camel ride and had Bedouin tea I was so glad that I did not book my excursions with my holiday company because they were driven there in a big coach and there was a long queue of people waiting for the camel ride. We had a very personal experience and did not have to queue for the ride and in fact we were given our own private ride on the camels just the 4 of us in our group and tea with the local man and they even taught us how to make bread. We had the best day ever. It was also cheaper than my travel company. So thankyou Essam and Sharm Excursions for making our holiday so wonderful we shall see you next year when we come back.

Boooked online as a 50th birthday surprise for my partner. Was a little apprehensive of handing over cash outside my hotel but I needn't have been! Everything worked like clockwork from collection from our hotel at 5.00am! We had a lovely small group - just 6 of us & our guide Lille was EXCELLENT! She had a fantastic knowledge of everything that we saw, knew all the dodges to get nearer to the best items in the museum & made our day thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish! We are coming back to Sharm next year & will be booking to do the Luxor trip then! We would recommend Sharm Excursions to anyone for a fab day! Thanks Sharm & thanks Lille!

I would definately book with Sharm Excursions as they are very professional and take their job very seriously. Its a comfort to know that when there are companies that dont care about customer care and professionalism.
All excursions are fairly priced and yes you may find a cheaper price for the same excursion but i cant emphasise how amazing the customer care was. You are in small groups so you can relax and not worry about missing out any information or getting lost in a big crowd. Every excursion me and my friends had gone on had no more than 6-7 people so we had the opportunity to ask more questions and get a great service.
A BIG thank you to Mahmoud who did alot for us! He organised transfers for us to and from the Old Market and even helped us when it came to prices, telling us when to haggle and what was reasonable! He has become a life long friend!
If you are looking for excursions that deliver a service next to none with honest tour guides with a professional manner then this is the company to book with. But if your looking for cheap, tacky and not well thought out excursions that arent safe and dont care for their clients then do book with other companies...but please be warned and be safe. There are alot of companies that will rip you off and hide costs that you will have to pay for when on the excursion.
We will be returning to Sharm next year and we will definateley book more excursions with Sharm Excursions! See you guys soooooon!!!

Absolutely fantastic day out!
We were picked up early in the morning (8.30) and taken to the venue. It was a small group so you can be assured that you will be looked after by your tour guide. We had Mahmoud who became more of a friend during our holiday! He was absoluteley FANTASTIC!
Be warned....on the way to the coloured canyon there is a 15min run of bumpy and uneven road which made me feel sick...and i didnt have breakfast...so DONT have a big breakfast...trust me! lol
I didnt take any trainers to sharm with me...so if youre reading this before arrieving in sharm please do pack some trainers...I had to do it in my flips flops and it was hard!
It is quite slippery goin down into the canyon and climbing back up was quite hard also. I was quite lucky to be with my 2 guy friends and Mahmoud also looked after me!
Its a hard walk..so make sure you pack some water and also there are no toilets in the actual canyon so do go before!
There are places where you have to climb down high places so if youre scared of heights...this ones not for you im afraid!
After the canyon you are taken to Dahab, in a small yet very sweet shopping mall. They are very friendly here and dont hard sell...me and my friends got a bargain price for our Kartoosh so i would get it from here! It cost £10 GBP in silver!! And they even explain what each letter in your name mean...I didnt find anywhere else that this!
After shopping you are taken to lunch where you have an option of what to order...again you dont get this option everywhere...
It was a cute restaurant at the seafront...Chips were reaaaallllly nice! You have to pay extra for drinks!
The day came to an end and we all returned to our hotels by 19.30.

An interesting evening, learning about Ancient Egypt, narrated in English. I was completely amazed at how the belly dancers were moving...absoluteley fantastic! There is also a bazaar filled with souvenir shops which are always fun to visit if your confident you wont get duped into buying things you dont want!
We were picked up by our guide Mahmoud from our hotel and were taken to the venue....
It is an evening that was enjoyed by myself and my friends!
There is also an opportunity to ride a horse or a camel at an extra cost!

Submitted By Sumera on 26/11/2009

We did the evening trip which was fantastic!
It was well supervised and we felt safe all the way.
It was alot of fun but the only thing i will mention is it is VERY dark so if your not comfortable driving in the dark do the day trip!
You get a dvd and a photo at the end at an extra cost but they make for good memories!
A must whe in Sharm!

early start to the day...4.30am! But i much rather wake up for 4.30 than wake up for 1.30 am and take the bus to cairo!
We were picked up on time from our hotel and after collecting all passengers we were taken to the airport for departure!
We arrived at cairo at 7.30am and found our guide for the day Ibrahim waiting for us. We were escorted to our mini van and within 5 minutes had started our journey towards the Cairo Museum.
The museum was fascinating and our guide Ibrahim spoke of all the history behind the many artefacts that were there in perfect English, but unfortunately due to being on a day trip we only saw the main peices!
We then went to a papyrus museum where we saw a demonstration of how papyrus is made and also had the opportunity to purchase any we liked!
We also enjoyed a meal on the river Nile after a short boat trip (which costs extra - £10 GBP) but was worth it!
After lunch we then proceeded to the most exciting place that we all anticipated! The Pyramids!!
We spent 45-50mins wandering around the pyramids and were also allowed entrance into them (1 free but any others you have to pay extra). There is also an opportunity to ride a camel around at an extra cost which i did! Definately worth doing...u dont see the Pyramids everyday!
We also saw the Sphinx which was amazing but it was too crowded as expected so be careful!
The day came to an end and we were transferred back to the cairo airport and arrived in sharm by 2200. Our guide was waiting for us at the arrivals hall and we had a comfortable ride back to our hotel!
The day trip by plane was worth it as it is comfortable and you have more time to do things! The guide Ibrahim spoke throughout the trip and gave us alot of background history of cairo and explained traditions that were still being observed to this day! its a must to see the Pyramids!!

My cousin, sister and I went to Sharm from 15-22 October 2009 and booked three excursions with Sharm Excursion after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed. There are some things that we think that people should be aware off, like the climb to Mount Moses is REALLY a climb, make sure and eat properly the night before and have tablets for motion sickness for the three hour drive to Mount Moses from Sharm. Also a bit of stretching to exercise your legs before will be a great help and of course WATER for your climb to the top with something for breakfast cause you will need it :)Sadly we three did not make it to the top because my sister got sick and our guide left us which was rude and scary cause it was nearly three in the morning so we had to walk back down the mountain us three women alone with a flashlight but thank God the guys on the camels did not interfere with us but walked along side as they were more interested in getting us on the camels for a ride down the mountain. We made it to St. Catherine's Monestry at nine in the morning after waiting for five hours for the group to come down from the mountain. The advice we will give is that if you are not feeling well from the drive to Mount Moses or even if you start to feel unwell before your climb, let the guide you came with on the bus know right away cause chances are that you may not be able to make it to the top so instead of sitting in the cold for five hours like we did, let your guide know in advance because to climb Mount Moses you change guides there and the ones they change to are not as accomodating as the ones you come with on the bus.We enjoyed the vist to St. Catherine's and we chalked up the rest to 'an experience'. Our next excursion was to Cairo,we opted for the seven hour drive to Cairo :( If you can afford it PLEASE take the plane because although the bus is comfortable, you cannot sleep properly on it and we were up for the entire trip, they do have interim stops but you feel a bit sick on the trip. When you get to Cairo though you know that it is worth it to see the pyramids but then the drive back sends you down a couple of notches again and you are completely drained when you get back to your hotel. The Bedouin dinner and camel ride was the bomb and we thoroughly enjoyed it.Our overall view on Sharm Excursion is that it is SAFE,(cause we were worried being three women alone),affordable, professional and FUN.We were apprehensive to book online so we sent an email saying what excursions we were interested in on the Sharm Excursion website and they replied and we got a contact number and we called and asked if we could book when we got to Sharm as we were in the UK.They said yes and when we got to Sharm that same night we called and in about an hour Mido and Mahmoud came and we told them what excursions we were interested in,we paid for the trips got our receipts and the following day the bus was promptly at our hotel to pick us up.I must say that we were were impressed with their punctuality and professionalism. We highly recommend Sharm Excursion to future visitors to Egypt and a great big thank you to Mr. Mohammed (I hope I spelt the name correctly) your company really makes sightseeing fun and eases ones mind.Mido I hope you looked up Trinidad and Tobago on the internet and realize how far we came from to visit your country :)Take care and every continued success in the future.Lastly, make sure and get the Egyptian visa before you travel to Egypt cause if you wait till you get there, you spend quite a few hours in the airport waiting to get it.

We like alot of others were sceptical about booking and paying for an excursion in this way rather than through your holiday rep, but I have to say it was the best thing ever. The start of the journey was a bit chaotic at Cairo airport, there was alot of shouting and hand jestures from the guides and not alot of information being relayed. But on the flight we got and 50 mins later we arrived in Cairo. When you come off the flight all the tour reps are waiting for you, do not be alarmed if there is no one to meet you, they were outside at the front of the airport. Abdel was our guide and we had a small party of 10, which was lovely as we had our 9 yr old son with us. Abdel was full of knowledge at the Cairo museum and we opted for the river boat down the Nile, it was nice to get out of the hectic traffic. The Pyramids and the Sphinx were all theat we had imagined and more. Abdel was very kind to take our son into the pyramid for us. indeed he was very good to him all day explaining all that we asked and showing us the best place for photographs. Beware of the hawkers as Abdel said nothing is for free and he kept them at length. I have to say that flying is the better way to go rather than a 6/7 hour bus journey there and back and it also gives you the luxury of a smaller group. I have nothing but praise for Abdel and Sharm Excursions and when we return to Egypt we will use them again.

We booked 3 trips with Sharm Excursions. We paid the deposit online and then on the first day of the holiday Mahmoud met us in the reception of the hotel so we could pay the balance. The first trip we did was the Coloured Canyon and Dahab.Everything was great, we were picked up on time, and our guides were very knowledgeable. The Canyon itself was hard work, especially for me as i had a bad headache from the sun.We took my 2 sons, aged 10 and 12 and they absolutely loved it, squeezing through small gaps and looking at all the different patterns in the rock, after the canyon we headed to Dahab where we stopped at a perfume factory, then off to lunch in a lovely restaurant right on the edge of the sea.
Next trip we did was Mount Sinai and St Catherines Monestary.Again we were picked up on time and headed off the St Catherines, once we got here our guide explained to us about the trip, we were given a mountain guide and a torch and then we made our way up the mountain. The children only managed to walk 1 km so me and them got ourselves camels to take us to the top.The scariest and funnest experience of my whole life, but the boys loved it. Next morning we met our guide at the bottom of the mountain and went off for breakfast in a local hotel, then back off to the monestary.
Once again, the guide was very imformative, telling us all about Moses and Mount Sinai. After this we headed off home.Trip back to sharm took about 3 hours.

Our last trip was meant to be to Serabit El Khadim, but our guide changed it for us and we did the Safari, Abu Galum and the Blue Hole.We had the bus to ourselves for this trip.Firstly we went into the dessert and had bedouin tea and looked at the rocks etc.
Next we headed of to Dahab, stopping of at a cafe/shop for refreshments.Once in Dahab, we were taken to hire some snorkelling equipment, then off to the beach to ride camels to the Blue hole.We had about an hour and a half to snorkel then had lunch in another great cafe called Titanic, food was once again fab and we all had a great time. After this we went to a papyrus shop and then it was back to Sharm again, very sadly because this was our last trip.

I would like to say a huge thankyou to Mahmoud, he is absolutely fantastic! He was brilliant with the children and very friendly, and aslo our driver on the last day (cant remember his name) he was great too.I will definately be using Sharm Excursions again and will be recommending them to my friends.
Thankyou for making our holiday a brilliant experience .Anna, Glenn, Jacob and Ryan Giggs :o)

Well what can i say, we havent long arrived back from sharm and i can honestly it was the best experience ever all thanks to mohamed and the guys at sharm excursions. we booked the crocodile show (review seperate) and cairo by plane. We paid in advance a few days prior to going to cairo which although seems strange hading over cash to someone in a car there is nothing to worry about. We were picked up promptly at 5am from our hotel and were driven to the airport, all of the 12 people on our mini bus were english which was good. Upon arriving at the airport we were given our tickets and qued like everyone else to get o the plane, to our surprise when somebody saw our tickets we were pulled from the crowd and put straight onto the plane (all good). We arrived in cairo 40mins later and heres where the excitement began. We were met by our guide abdul who was a youngish man that was educated to uni standard and spoke perfect english. Abdul gave us the breifing for the day as we travelled through cairo in our private mini bus. Our first stop was at the king tut museum which we spent a couple of hours in with abdul explaining everything we would like to know and talking to us about the history of the artefacts in there. When we finished in the museum we were given the choice to travel to the restaurant for lunch (inc in price) either by mini bus or by boat for an extra £10, everyone decided on boat and we were driven to a private boat on the nile. What an experience just our tour travelling down the nile seeing all the restaurants etc and abdul pointing out the sights such as the ex presidents house and the 7* four seasons hotel. On the way abdul asked us what we would like to eat and he would pre order it. When we arrived at the restaurant (on the nile) abdul the legend sorted a good table for all of us to sit together and we were shortly waited on with our meals. This was surprising as everyone else at the restaurant had the buffet that was on offer but not us we had a proper sit down meal relaxing rather than waiting just to dig into the rice like the other 100 people in the restaurant. After our meal we went to a papyrus gallery, not much to talk about there although there were some very good pics and we were shown how its made. Now the best bit, off to the geizer the pyramids!! We arrived at geizer to a magnificant sight of the 3 main pyramids. instantly we were taking photos then abdul told us to stand on this rock and pass him the camera, he showed us different poses to do to get those pics everyone wants like touching the tip of the pyramid and leaning on it. Abdul took the time to this for every person in our group and did all 5 poses for everyone. This was great as it seemed like everyone else there was trying to get these sort of photos but not to good yet abdul knew the perfect spot and they came out amazing!! (check the pics) he also told us what was a good deal or not and stopped us from being hassled by sellers in his own language (he wouldnt repeat it so you can imagine what he told them). We walked around and were looking at one of the pyramids when abdul asked us for our attention and began showing us some postcards from a lttle boy selling, there were 10 in all and had pics of the pyramids etc on. they were all laminated and in envelopes, abdul said how much do we think they are to which some people guessed maybe £6. Abdul replied no only 5 pound which would have been a good deal as they were high quaility but he meant 5le which was around 60p!! it was the boys lucky day as everyone in group snapped them up. Abdul asked if we wanted to go into one of the pyramids but we cant take our cameras in as it will damage the hyrogliphics. We went other to the pyramid with abdul and could see loads of other tour groups and guides (all new abdul) and on the entrance to the pyramid were tourist police to ensure no cameras were taken inside. Abdul asked us to wait for a sec whilst he and his mate (another tour guide) had a word with the police. a minute later abdul said you can go in now ad take you cameras! would you belive it that he had swung it for us to take photos inside the bloody pyramid!! he even said use the flash if you want dean. I didnt need telling twice and was straight in there past the police and taking photos. could only handle a minute inside though as no air at all and very cramped but none the less got to take pics inside whilst other people in their were wondering how we were allowed to, great!! After the pyramid is was onto the sphinx and with abdul we didnt even need our tickets. the sphnx was packed as you can imagine so was hard to get good pics, we were only there 5 mins when the police stared to blow their whistles as it was time to close the gates so everyone had to leave. We were pretty dissapointed which abdul could see so he said carry on taking photos, very hard with a police officer in your face telling you to leave so we started to go, at this point abdul told our group to wait and carry on taking photos and in not to nice a word forget the police lol very hard when they have machine guns. abdul went over to the police and another little word ensured the sphinx was closed to everyone except us!! yep he had sorted it for us to carryon taking the pics we wanted and the police just walked past us, one of them even helped us up to the ledge to take pics, abdul is seriously connected as everyone was outside the gets looking in wondering how we were still allowed in there, well it was down to abdul. we managed to get all the best pics again due to abdul knowing the right spot to make it look as though you were kissing the sphinx and one pic that some people may disagree with but me and him found it hilarious plus it was his idea (check the pic). after we finished there we were asked if we wanted to go to a perfume makers which was a friend of abduls so we did. the owner spoke better english than most of us and even cracked some irish jokes, he got us all a drink and let us smell all kinds of perfumes with the option to buy if we wanted, there was no hard sell unlike in naama bay. After we finished it was back to the airport after around 8pm so a long day was had. Needless to say we all tipped abdul although some people make me feel ashamed as they only tipped 20le about £2 which considering the work this man put in for us not to mention we all had chilled bottled water on the bus meant to be 2 bottles each but due to the heat it all got drunk so abdul bought another 30 bottles for us for free. we tipped 200le between me and my girlfriend which considering it was for him and the driver it was like us both tipping £5 to each of them which is nothing for the day and experience we had due to the one and only abdul. I cant praise this man enough as he made us have a trip of a lifetime so just to say thanks alot abdul your a star. just so you remember who we are we were the ones who tought you were steep and slope meant lol. sorry for the long winded review but felt it was worth while. thanks again to sharm excursions.

Excursion to Serabit el Khadim

I was determined to visit the Pyramids during my holiday in Sharm el Sheikh and decided to try sharmexcursions.com which came highly recommended on this web site. I would have prefered to fly but being a family of four this just wasn't financially feasible for us, so we chose the bus trip instead.

The booking procedure was straightforward - a series of emails to and from Mohammed and completing a booking form. I was still a little nervous about meeting the rep on the first morning of our holiday in order to pay the remaining balance. The rep appeared at our hotel on time, took our payment and even had the £1.00 change (small change being something Egyptians tend not to possess)! My nervousness continued as he had very little to say and didn't hang around very long. I was so relieved when the bus turned up at 1am to collect us.

The trip was well organised and very professional. Our guide, Lawrence, was just fantastic (albeit a little crazy). He is such a knowledgeable, informative and enthusiastic man and he kept us all entertained all day long. He keeps to a strict timetable which worked well.

Although a very long and laborious journey it's definitely worthwhile. The highlight of my holiday.

A Private Tour to Cairo by plane from Sharm - One Day trip

What a fantastic day! We certainly were glad we payed the extra for a private tour. My husband and I and our two daughters (12 & 14) so enjoyed this day. Abdul was our knowledgable guide and we learned so much from him.He has been working as a guide for 12 years but was still very enthusiastic about his subject. He also took some great photos of us at the pyramids! I must mention the driver who also contributed to the day. Always on time and ready to pick us up so there was no waiting around. All went smoothly from the transport from our hotel, the flight and the return journey. This company is professional and provides excellent value for money. We also booked quad biking with them.
Just a few tips, take more money than you think as you will need as you will be tempted at the perfume shop! also we did not realise you have to pay extra to see the royal mummies at Cairo museumn, and we did not have enough on us. At the end of the day we had three hours before our flight and our guide recommeded the light and sound show at the pyramids. He knew we did not have the money on us but agreed to lend us the amount and we could pay back the guide that would collect us for quad biking. This was a great show. I thought it may be tacky, using modern lazers and music to tell the history of the great pyramids, but it was exceptionally well done and very dramatic. Thank you to Abdul for trusting us. This is a highly recommended day out, very tiring but well worth it.

Simply - what a brilliant day. From the people transferring us to our great guide Abdul. An early start but you need the time. The Egyptian Museum is facinating - even to someone not so into history. The Pyramids & Sphinx - amazing. Lunch was really good too. The optional trip along the nile not so worth it. The Papyrus shop was good too. I fully recommend this trip. Only bad thing was not enough time in Egyptian Museum - I am unsure even a whole day would be enough. Excellent day. Thanks.

Sea Trip Ras Mohamed or Tiran Island

I booked 2 trips with Sharm Excursions and they were both excellent. The Sea Trip to Ras Mohammed was amazing. It was totally relaxed, the boat was not too full and the lunch was lovely. The crew/captain were really pleasant as were the transfer guys and the snorkling was out of this world. Really cannot fault the day. (Mohamed even rearranged the trip - no quibbles - to another day when illness unfortunatly struck the night before!) Sharm Excursions were excellent. Thank You. xxx

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

Fantastic Day and thanks to Sharm Excursions. Our guide Ibrahim was excellent. We were joined by 8 other Super people for the day and we thank them for helping to make it a memorable experience. Thank you Alan & Eve, Andy & Andrea, Jo Glenn Bex & Louise, we really enjoyed your company. We were picked up on time and everything went like clockwork. The Museum was great and Ibrahim was a star. His knowledge was superb and he made sure we got prime position at each Exhibit before rolling out the facts to us in excellent English. We found the museum spellbinding and King Tut's Mask and Sarcophagi are unbelievable. We moved on to our trip down The Nile to the restaurant and the meal was very good. The papyrus factory was very interesting. The Pyramids and Sphinx took our breath away. SEEING really is believing! If you have ever felt like going then DO IT! It really is a WOW moment. One of the best days of our lives.

The best £20.00 you'll ever spend. Fantastic trip and one you'll never forget. If your'e going to a trip then this is it. We're going back next year and we'll be booking more trips and going on the quads at least twice. DVD is offered of the trip, quality is not brilliant but for an extra £10.00 well worth it to relive the memories. Just book it, you'll regret not doing this trip.

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

what a wonderful trip.

The day couldnt of gone better, we were picked up from our hotel on time, and taken to the airport where we took the short journey to Cairo.

The museum was full of artifax and loads of history, was a bit hot in there as no air con though.
Next we took a boat trip accross the Nile to have lunch, which was fantastic
Next up for us was a trip to the papyasis factory and purfume shop, where you can buy local products.
They really did save the best til last, with the Pyramids, what a view, absolutly amazing.

It is a long day (17 hours, but worth it) my advise is drink plenty of water as it was really hot when we viewed the pyramids.

If you get Abdul as your tour guide you are in for a great day, full of knowledge

Great day in all, thanks again, cant recommend this company enough.

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

We found Sharmexcursions through internet. The email information we received from Mohammed about the excursions was very accurate and correct, so we decided to make the booking. We were a little reluctant to have paid cash in advance to the representative that came to the hotel, as they have no office address, just a tel.number to contact. However, on Thursday, as agreed in the bookingconfirmation, they picked us up a 05:00 AM at our hotel in an airconditioned van to drive us to Sharm airport. Check-in without problems, charter flight in an old plane, but don't worry, you'll get there. We arrived well in Cairo early in the morning. Remember to keep your boarding pass of this flight because you need it also for the flight back, they forgot to tell us that when we left Sharm el Sheik! At Cairo airport, our super-top-fantastic guide Abdo was waiting for us. He accompanied us the whole day and gave us so much information about Egypt, its history, the city, the people and was a really fun guy too! We had an absolutely great day and were so happy to have booked with Sharm excursions: only small group of 10 people, good airconditioned van, safe driver, excellent guide, while other groups were travelling along in a bus of 40 persons. The museum was amazing, the pyramids and sphinx incredible. Optional boat trip on the Nile is highly recommended. Lunch alongside the Nile was nice too, additional stop at papyrus factory very interesting. This excursion to Cairo was truly a highlight of our holidays. It is a long day, you arrive back in Sharm at 22:00 PM, but really worth it. If to say something less positive, it was too bad that at our arrival back in Sharm airport we had to wait for a very long time for many other passengers arriving from different flight excursions, before they brought us back to our hotel. If we were to repeat this trip, at our return we would take a taxi from the airport to the hotel, because after such a long day with so many fantastic impressions, you don't want to wait to get back to your room, take a shower and have a drink to enjoy the fun you had the whole day in Cairo. But in total: very well recommended.

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

Booked three trips in all with Sharm Excursions. Cairo by plane, Quad Biking and the boat trip to Ras Mohammed. Like other people I was quite dubious at handing over a large amount of money. I need not have worried as on the day of each trip they were there on time to collect us from our hotel. My daughter and I whent to Cairo by plane and we had a lovely day. Lille the guide is a lovely lady very informative and very knowledgeable. At the pyramids Lille advised us on what to do to avoid being pestered by the locals which was good advice. Quad biking was brilliant. I was quite a bit nervous at first and it took me a while to get used to the bikes, but I soon got the hang of it. We chose to go at sunset when it would be cooler and came back in the dark which was very exciting. The final trip was the boat trip to Ras Mohammed which again was brilliant, the boat was large and spacious and the food brilliant. They took us to three different areas to go snorkelling which is amazing. Word of warning you need to take your flippers as well as your snorkell mask with you as you cannot go to two of sites without your flippers on. All in all good value for money would recommend using them again.

Me and my partner booked a private trip to Cairo through Sharm Excursions on our holiday in June 2009 and so glad we did. By far the best trip we have ever been on in all our holidays. From the moment you are picked up from your hotel you are well looked after to the moment you get back to your hotel again. Our guide on the trip was Dr/ Abdelghany Nassar and he was fantastic answered all our questions and looked after us through out the whole trip without him I think the trip would not have been as good. I would recommend Sharm Excursions over any other company and will book with them again next time im on a holiday to Egypt. Lastly thanks to Mohamed for the phone call at the end of the trip to make sure everything was ok and the driver who drove us around on the bus.

EXCELLENT! You have got to do this trip its is very good value for money. Pay the extra 30EGP at the pyramids & you get to go inside the second one .. all i will say is you need to walk in a crouched possition & it hurts your legs.If you get the chance to get a boat up the nile for an extra 30EGP make sure you do it as it is very relaxing. We had Abdul as our guide who was very good, we had a good laugh throughout the day which was very nice, there was only 3 of us in our group which was great because Abdul got us through the crowds & to the front of any queue so this gave us mor time to do things. A GREAT DAY OUT .. WE LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT ... ABDUL IF YOUR READING THIS THANKS FOR A GREAT DAY YOU MADE OUR DAY SPECIAL!!

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

I travelled with 3 friends to Cairo having booked in advance online. The booking process was made very easy and Mohamed came to meet us in our Hotel to collect the final balance and provide us with our excursion vouchers, as planned in our final email communication.
The excursion to Cairo was fantastic, with our lovely tour guide Lily adding to the enjoyment of the day. She was extremely knowledgeable and knew how to avoid the crowds in the museum, taking us to see the main areas of interest as well as providing us with some free time to view the rest of the museum at our leisure. She also identified and explained in detail about some of the artifacts which we could then relate to when at the pyramids and the papyrus institute.
At the papyrus institute and the perfume factory there is opportunity to buy the products, so have some cash or a credit card with you. There is also the option to take a boat trip on the Nile and a camel ride at the pyramids, so again be prepared with some cash.
We moved very eficiently to and from the airport and between the different attractions. Lily was in regular communication with the driver of the airconditioned mini-van, who seemed to appear with perfect timing as we finished at each venue.
The whole day was amazing and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
The quality/personality of the tour guide certainly increased the enjoyent of our day - thank you Lily!!

Back from sharm a week now and missing it already, such a memroble place made even more so by the day trip to cairo to see the pyramids, what an awsome sight. The day started off being picked up at our hotel at 6am ,short drive to the air port and a quick flight to Cairo, where we met Abdul our guide for the day, from there he took us to the museum where he knew absalutely everything about the antiquities and answered all our questions.Tut-Ankh-Amons burial mask is a sight to behold.
After the museum Abdul took us on a boat trip up the Nile(extra small charge)to a buffet resteraunt from there we went to the papyrus museum ,no hard sell and we bought 3 peices one with our family names on it, so cool. After that it was on to a perfume shop free refreshments and ice-cream .After that Abdul thought it would be a good time to see the pyramids he was spot on as it was suprisingly quiet 4.00pm ish,we were able to get great pictures and get inside the second pyramid with no queues,on our own,it was awsome. We could have stayed for the light show but my daughter who is 6 was starting to get tired and hungry, so Abdul took us to a favourite resteraunt of his, massive burgers and to many chips, very cheap. All in all it was won of the best days out that we have ever had and cant wait till next year to go to luxor.

We were quite sceptical before booking but figured if no-one turned up we'd only lose the 7% deposit. As planned Mahmoud came and picked the rest of the balance up the day following our arrival in Sharm. We were a bit panicky incase no one turned up on the day for our trip but our fears were not necessary.

Mahmoud picked us up at the hotel at 6am and took us to the airport. The flight was short and we were picked up the other side by Wahyell (not sure of spelling). There was only 5 of us including the guide all day and I cannot say how good the day was.

As it was a small group we had a lot of opportunity to ask questions and basically be taken the places at our own pace. Our guide was amazingly knowledgeable and friendly. There was no hard sell from him, and indeed he protected us from other beggers/sellers outside the attractions.

When I return to Sharm, we will have no hesitancy in booking with Sharm Excursions again!

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

We booked this excursion with Sharm Excursions after reading the positive reviews on this website and TripAdvisor. I was not disappointed. When we arrived in sharm, on our first morning we met Mahmoud in the lobby of our hotel who we gave the money for all 6 of our excursions and he gave us vouchers and explained to us what would happen on the excursions.

Cairo by plane - we were picked up early morning by minivan and taken to the airport, check in was very quick and hassle free, after the very short flight (40 mins with free refreshments) we arrived in Cairo where we were promptly met by the guide Abdel.

Firstly we went to the Egyptian Museum of antiques, which was very good because we got to see all the stuff that we wanted to see without seeing the things that would be of no interest to most. We were given a tour of the museum for about 80 mins then given approx 40 mins free time to explore.

A point to note, take water into the museum, because there is no air conditioning and a young lad that was on the tour with us almost collapsed because of the heat and humidity.

After this we went on a cruise up the river Nile (this is an optional extra, which costs 50LE, however it was worth it) to the restaurant, which was an open buffet restaurant where the food was nice.

After this Abdel told us it was better not to go to the pyramids straight away because it would be too busy and too hot as we were in the peak time of the day for the heat (12 - 3). He suggested that we go to the Papyrus institute first as it is air conditioned. We went there and watched how papyrus is made, which was very interesting and the papyrus on sale in the place was very reasonably priced, with no hard sell. We bought a couple of bits which cost about £20 each. There are numerous individuals selling fake papyrus around Cairo and Sharm so it was good to know that the stuff we bought there was genuine.

After this we went to the pyramids, which was excellent as there were very few other tourists there, so we pretty much had our free run of the place. We were only in a group of 8, which allowed for a far more intimate tour.

A special mention had to go to the excellent guide Abdel, who took time taking pictures with everybody's camera helping them get humorous memorable photos of the pyramids and the sphinx. He was a very funny, attentive and friendly guide and nothing was too much trouble for him. He also stopped several times to get us water because of the heat, which was very much appreciated.

After doing all of the touristy things at the pyramids etc, we went to an Egyptian perfume factory, where we were given a free soft drink and shown how Egyptian fragrances are made. Again there was no hard sell here.

After this we were taken back to the airport. Again a quick flight, then picked up at sharm airport and taken back to hotel.

An excellent but long day, well organised by sharm excursions and another mention to the guide who made the day special for everyone.

I booked 6 excursions with Sharm Excursions, these were: Cairo by Plane, Camel Ride, Quad Runner, Super Safari, Bedouin Dinner, and Sea Trip to Ras Mohamed. All of which were well organised and great value for money. Most were at least half the price we were offered by Thomas Cook.

We spent a good two hours in the musium, then had our own mini nile cruise where we cold relax and see the sites of cairo. We then ate lunch in a lovely restaurant. Followed by a trip to a Papiyris factory where we were shown how they were made and finally got to go and see the pyrimids and Sphix - amazing! Excursion to Serabit el Khadim

Just got back from a 2 week holiday in Sharm. Me and my partner booked the 2 day trip to Cairo and Luxor with Sharm Excursions because they were cheaper than everyone else. We were a bit worried because we were asked to pay for our trip in cash GBP once we arrive in Sharm and we thought it is a bit odd that they would not take credit cards.
But on the day we were picked up from our hotel and on our way for this two day adventure. It was AWESOME!
We've been well looked after, the trip was very well organised and our guides very good. We got advice and information on everything required. In Cairo, someone in our group had to be taken to hospital because of blood presure and our guide went with him while the rest of us joined another group for a couple of hours. It felt good to know that if anything would happen they will be there to help. The guides seemed happy to change the schedule to suit everyone's needs. We were a group of 15 in Cairo and only 3 of us went on to Luxor the next day and we had a car and guide, Mohamed, to ourselves for the day. Mohamed really made our day, he took us to the bank when we need it, after we finished sightseeing took us to a shop where things were much cheaper than in Cairo and took us for a coffee and a traditional tea as well which were extra but we didn't mind because we had such a great time.
Overall we both loved the trip. All transfers to and from the airports were taken care of by Sharm Excursions as well as luch on both days and hotel over night in Cairo. We didn't have to worry about anything.
We would deffinetlly use Sharm Excursions next time we go to Egypt because they are so much cheaper than others and we had a great time.
They really are excellent!

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

We booked Cairo by Plane and the trip to Ras Mohammed.

Cairo - The tour guide (Abdel) was an legend, he had an awesome sense of humour and was really helpful throughout the day. He stopped people hassling us and also made our trip fun. There were only four people two couples which were like a private tour, the day was well planned and we spent ample time at every attraction in Cairo/Giza. I really cannot sing Abdel's praises enough he was absolutely amazing. Mohammed was very kind and understanding as we missed our first appointment to pay the final money.

Ras Mohammed - Well looked after, tour guide was nice bus driver thought he was a bit of an F1 Driver... which was entertaining. The only downside to this trip is the Russians, no offence to them but they have no courtesy or manners and will more than likely annoy you.

Overall, if you want excursions just use these. They are safe, friendly and make the day great for you. Out of 10 I would genuinely give them 10.

My trip was organised at very short notice, (from Gatwick) before we flew out to Sharm, we left UK mobile nos on the e-mail we sent to Sharm Excursions from Gatwick Airport, and borded the flight, we did not know stepping on the flight if anyone there would meet us in Sharm for transfer to our hotel!!!! on swithing on our mobiles at Sharm Airport a reply was awaiting us from Mr Mohamad (senior), step outside the terminal and look for your names on a printed sheet for pickup, (young) Mohamad, who picked us up with a driver was excellent, we were worried about paying for trips in cash, Ciaro by plane, Quads, Glass bottomed boat and return transfer, However on time, every time Young Mohamed arrived to transport us to the various venues, the quads were the best trip we had, (go in the evening) highly recommended, The Pyramids were also exceptional, the Guide knew everything, he talked non stop about Egyptian culture, the contents of the Egyptian museum as the tour progressed, the Pyramids and surrounging statues, all from when he met us, until when the tour finished, all in all, you will do the same Cairo Trip here as you will with the other large tour operators Thompsons Cosmos etc, with one exception, your group will be much smaller, you travel in a well presented air conditioned comfortable minibus, and because your group is smaller, you will get the oppertunity to ask more questions and actually hear what your tour guide has to say, all tours to Ciaro visit the pyparus shops and the perfume factory ( ask your tour guide to do something else with you) this part of all the organised tours, no matter which compamy organise the tours, is nothing more than High pressure sales, after a long day in Ciaro, it's the last thing you need, im sure your guide will accomodate. OVERALL I WOULD RECOMMEND SHARM EXCURSIONS TO FRIENDS. thank you Mr Mohamad. PS: book on line, cheeper trip first for discount on all following trips

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

Based on other’s opinions on Tripadvisor we booked excursions with Sharm Excursions.

I don’t want to sound too sycophantic but what an excellent decision it was. We took the Cairo flight and do-it-all-in-a-day trip. We also took the snorkelling excursion to Ras Mohammed.

Cairo: a perfect day within the context of what it was. Mohamed, the proprietor, really is a local bag man, a Mr Fixit, of the first degree. When you are in a place that you do not know you need someone like this in your corner and I can’t recommend his services highly enough. His staff were knowledgeable, thorough, obliging, helpful and really made it their business to ensure that their clients/ guests got full value.

Our guide in Cairo was Lilly, a lovely girl who was very open and candid about all aspects of the day plus the realities of living in a modern Muslim country. I will not reveal all of her recommendations, that’s her business but she is a fund of useful tips and hints. We were in a group of seven, three of us, an American couple and another English couple. We were chauffeured round Cairo in a modern air conditioned mini bus, what a crazy compelling town! We spent as leisurely a day as it’s possible to do cramming some of the world’s most important heritage into a few hours and still finding time for a coffee at the museum and a chat with Lilly.

We did the things that we wanted to do, the Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza plus the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, we also visited an ‘official’ papyrus gallery/shop, had a great buffet lunch aboard a floating restaurant on the Nile and took a bonus felucca cruise on the Nile which is a great way to see Cairo. The Pyramids, Sphinx and museum are things that, if you get the opportunity, you have to experience so there can’t be a bad review of them unless written by a philistine! The other things were in the detail and it was handled superbly well, an exquisite day and worthy of recommendation to anyone. Truth be told a day is far too short to do justice to these things and we will return and take them in at a more leisurely pace; we were on a tight schedule and the trip was right for us on this occasion.

We also took an excursion to Ras Mohammed national park. The boat was fantastic, the lunch was great, the crew were friendly sea dogs and the tone was just right. There were eight of us in total, five snorkelling and three scuba diving and the trip kept an intimacy and informality that can easily be lost in a large group. At our first stop, there were three snorkelling opportunities, we were joined by a group of some twenty to thirty novices who all went in the water together, splashed around, sent any self respecting marine life scurrying off, shouted and whistled to one another and it seemed like watching the charge of the Light Brigade. We, on the other hand, were supervised with a light touch and left to our own devices which was great and allowed you to explore the reefs at your leisure. Clearly tourism is the main driver of the economy in that area and there were plenty of boats around, our captain was knowledgeable and steered us to locations that no one else was at which allows the more shy aquatic creatures to feel comfortable and offers the snorkeller or diver a more rewarding experience.

We would have liked to have taken more trips with Sharm Excursions but our itinerary was pretty rigid and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone thinking of booking excursions. I corresponded extensively with Mohammed via email beforehand and he was prompt and helpful with my questions and his replies were specific and useful. We spoke to other people who had been on excursions organised by holiday company reps and felt sorry for them and relieved for ourselves as they told us about their experiences being herded around and not being able to do what they wanted because of the impersonal nature of their tour. Needless to say their trips also cost significantly more (Cairo £160.00 pp with Sharm direct as opposed to £225.00 pp with a well known tour operator whose parent company just went bust, Jun 09, for example) than we paid for a much more personal service.

Thank you Mohammed for a great trip and for looking after us so well. We booked the 3 day trip to Cairo, Alexandria and Luxor to see all of the main sites; all of our guides looked after us well, were knowledgable and spoke fantastic English. If you want to see the real Egypt this is the way to do it. Special thanks to Wael our guide in Alexandria who we had such a good laugh with.
We also booked our transfers, the boat trip to Ras Mohamed and the quad biking to watch the sun set with SharmExcursions and every trip was well organised and great value for money.

A Private Tour to Cairo by plane from Sharm - One Day trip

I have just returned from Egypt and had booked two trips with Sharm Excursions, a private tour to Cairo and a private tour to Luxor. I echo other reviews for this company and have no complaints. I have visited Cairo before and was part of a mass tour, this trip I had my parents with us(62years) and felt that a private tour would be better for us. It was amazing we were transported from our hotel privately and on arrival at our destination had our own private driver and guide, on both trips the guides were fantastic, very knowldegable and both spoke perfect english. I took so much more out of ths trip to Cairo and it was all down to Abdul and the way he explained everything.
Mohamed was also fantasdtic and even phoned the morning we left for Cairo at 0620hrs to make sure verything was going to plan.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone and the additional cost for the private tour is well worth it.

Mount Sinai ( Moses Mountain ) from Sharm Excursion

We were very impressed with the service of Sharm excursions. Having been moved hotels and not knowing how to contact the company we were surprised when mohammed tracked us down and told us all of the details for the long night ahead. Our guide Ramina spoke excellent English amongst other languages, he immediately put us at ease and treated us as a friend rather than a customer. The stop at the Bedouin tent was a welcomed surprise and a real insight into egyptian culture. When we arrived at the mountain we were greated by a bedouin guide who escorted us to the top with great support and humour. The sunrise was breath taking. Once in the monastery, Ramina guided us through all areas with great knowledge and enthusiasm. Many thanks to all involved including 'Crazy Driver'. A life changing experience and excellent value for money.

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

We travelled to Sharm el Sheikh in March 2009. We wanted to see Cairo and, after reading reviews on the internet, we booked with sharmexcursions.com for a one day trip by plane. It was an absolutely fantastic day. I was a little reluctant to book online but as the reviews were so good, and as the deposit was only £30.00 I didn't think we had too much to lose. I received a confirmation email which explained that Mohamed would come and collect the money from our hotel which he did. We had only just arrived and he took the time to talk to us about Egypt which was a nice touch.

The following day he collected us from our hotel in a minibus. There were 4 couples in total which was a nice number. He got us onto the plane (somehow we didn't have to queue like everyone else which was very good!) Almost as soon as we arrived at the airport we were on the plane which was good as it was very early in the morning and I wanted to sleep longer. However, we didn't get a chance as, after looking at the views for a little while, we had arrived. Our tour guide was there at the airport to meet us and we had an airconditioned mini bus and very nice driver waiting for us. Both of them spoke very good English.

We did everything that we were supposed to but the guide also gave us options of things we could do which was really good, for example, he asked us if we wanted to go on a boat on the nile- something that we didn't think we would have time to do. Those in the group who didn't want to do it got the minibus to the restaurant and the rest of us got the boat. We did get taken to a few shops, which is normal in Egypt. We went to a papyrus shop (where we watched papyrus being made- we didn't realise it was a shop at first because it was really interesting), a perfume factory (we'd cottoned on to the fact it was a shop but it was still really interesting to see how it's made) and an Egyption cotton shop. There was no pressure to buy and if you didn't want to go in, you didn't have to. I didn't feel like these were annoying as we got to see how papyrus and perfume were made.

I think the only down fall of the day was that it is very long (which it needs to be to fit it all into one day) so if you can, maybe do the two day excursion. We couldn't because we were only in Sharm for a week. If we had been there for two weeks we would have done the Luxor trip with sharmexcursions too as they were so good.

You can book excursions when you are out there but I liked the fact that we didn't have to worry about booking and it was a little cheaper than most of the other options.

If you are going to Sharm or Cairo you will have an absolutely wonderful holiday!

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

We travelled to Cairo by plane in April 2009 with Sharm Excursions and WOW what a trip! I was SO apprehensive about handing over nearly £1,000 in cash, IN ADVANCE, to a man I hadn't met previously,in our hotel lobby - and getting a tiny receipt in return - with a promise that the driver would collect us on the agreed date for our day trip to Cairo. Had Del Boy been in the vicinity he would have not hesitated to tell me I had been 'tucked up, right good an' proper!' BUT - how wrong can you be? The trip was everything it had promised to be. DOot to door minibus, rep at the airport to greet and guide us on to the next stage of the journey, another at Cairo, and a personal guide to accompany our party and another (total 8) throughout the day. The last part of the trip was a visit to a perfume factory, but our group asked if we could miss that part out, and our guide was happy to oblige. We were so pleased with this trip, we then booked the quad bikes - and were equally delighted with that one. Small tip though - book the cheaper trip first - you get 5% off subsequent ones.

We would definitely use this company again if we came to Sharm El Shiekh. They are very helpful and pleasant. I organised the excursions on the internet before we left England and there were no problems whatsoever. You can get your visa at Sharm Airport without having to apply for it from the Egyptian Embassy in England and pay in dollars or sterling. This company takes Sterling, Dollars or Egyptian pounds which was a great help. I would recommend these to anyone

Safari Excursions Quad Runner in Sharm

My wife and I had a smashing time on this jaunt on the quad bikes. It was a first on the bikes for both of us and my wife was a bit apprehensive, until we got started! She thought it was absolutely brilliant and I honestly thought that when we finished she was going to say ' I want one'. I must admit that I was expecting a sand dune type safari rather than the flat rugged terrain but it was still enjoyable. Not a true bedouin tent where we stopped for tea but a horseshoe shaped enclosure. We arranged to buy the DVD of us on the safari but when the chap came the following day with it at the hotel it was the wrong people and had over an hours travelogue before it actually got to the safari. Pleased that I checked the DVD on my portable DVD player before I handed over any cash, that aside, we thought it was a great afternoon out and would defnitely do it again

A Private Tour to Cairo by plane from Sharm - One Day trip

My wife and I had a wonderful time. An early start, picked up just before 5am but we were actually sitting on the plane to Cairo before 5.45am!!! We had a great guide in Cairo, (Shariff and his driver Ayeman), visited the Egyptian Museum and Shariff's knowledge was exceptional. Then we booked on to a private boat ( cost a little extra ) on the Nile for our trip to our lunch at a riverside restaurant ( buffet lunch was acceptable, no alcoholic drinks ) Then off to the pyramids for a couple of hours which was great then had an hour to kill in Cairo before getting our plane back to Sharm El Shiekh. Had a great day which was to our itinery and would recommend this to anyone, especially the private tour guide, well worth the extra cost.

I will admit to being a bit wary of booking with this company as we had been advised by our travel company to book everything with them. On the plus side all elements of the trip I did were fantastic. I had constant emails about the trip after enquiring and booking. We were met in the morning by who I think was Mohamed ( Sorry I don't think I got your name!) who took our money and then confirmed details about the trip in the afternoon. First we were picked up and driven to the desert where we met the Bedouin Men and rode a camel. After we went to their tent and taught how to make their bread and drink their local tea. It was a great experience to see how Egyptians really live. Our guide then walked us up to the top of the mountains to watch the sunset. The couple of hours that we spent on this trip were fantastic and definately worth the money. We did this trip on my birthday and will definately be a memorable one! Many thanks for everything!

This was a very interesting trip!! For Starters we did not go to the coloured canyon, instead we went to the "White" Canyon. The trip started with us rally driving through the dessert in a 4x4!! which was quite eventfull in itself!! Once arriving at the canyon, we pretty much had to abseil 30/40ft down the canyon with just a rope, which was not expected! There was about 2hrs walking involved! We stopped in a hotel/restaurant for food, which was good.

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

We had a great day out in Cairo. Our tour guide Abraham, was really knowledgable and a laugh to be with. We did find this trip too long and drawn out once we had finished "sight seeing." We was picked up from our hotel at 6am, and did not arrive back till 12.30am! We were catching a 10pm flight, only to find that we could of caught an earlier one, if they hadnt stopped off at a market which was packing up!! We definately would do this trip again, if we could catch a flight after the Pyramids.

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

We booked 2 trips via Mohamed - one for Cairo & one for the Dolphin Show - Both days were brilliant. We were picked up exactly when they said they would be there and our guide (Ibrahim) in Cairo was great. We ended the Cairo day in the market - now you have to see that to believe it - it was fantastic and the large tour operators don't even take you there. We had our own tour guide for the whole day when you saw bus loads going round with one for them all - some others were even listening to our guide as they couldn't hear theirs. The day at the dolphins, Mohamed even brought his wife (beautiful girl) to meet us which we thought was fantastic. We would have NO HESITATION in recommending this Company for your holiday trips. Thanks for making our trips on holiday a great success.

Thanks again - Jacqueline, Duncan & Nicola (Dundee, Scotland)

Luxor by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

Our last day in Sharm was spent in Luxor. My youngest daughter was affected by the heat so one of us had to stay with her mainly me however our driver and our guide John was really good about it. My husband and his mum enjoyed the Valley of the Kings and Karnak while I thoroughly enjoyed the temple of Queen Hatshepsut our guide was really good. We were taking on a boat like the trip in Cairo across the Nile to the East Bank for lunch enjoyed the scenery which is amazing at the time we visited Luxor had an extremely important person visiting too their President so the sights and sounds of that was nice to take in. Before we completed our trip back to the Airport we were offered and an extra cost whether we wanted to cruise the nile a bit again or do a horsedrawn carriage around what I would consider the real Luxor and see the actual REAL city and its day to day residents we all chose the horsedrawn carriages. Our daughter who rides horses back here in Scotland got a chance to take the reign and sit up front of the small carriage, she thoroughly enjoyed it as we all did. Our trips with Sharmexcursions.com made our experience in Egypt complete, everyone involved in our excursions including Mohammed were brilliant to us all. Highly recommended. Thanks again Mohammed to you and all the guides, drivers etc that took us on those excursions.

Bedouin Show & Dinner

We booked this trip as a special trip as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and anted to do something different for this, we were taking out into the desert by jeep to the Bedouin camp for Dinner and Tanura show which was both very good and extremely relaxing the only bit that disappointed me in this evening was that we didnt get our camel ride into the camp like it said in the excursion description and what really was disappointing because it was our wedding anniversary and the reason we chose this excursion was we did'nt star gaze like it tells you. Our driver and guide for the evening were very good and great company to be in.

Sea Trip Ras Mohamed or Tiran Island

This was a good, nice relaxing trip. We did snorkling at stop No.2 where it was the safest for my daughter for those who can't swim life jackets are given so no reason why non-swimmers should miss seeing under the red sea. We were very lucky our captain blew his horn for Dolphins to appear for us at a certain point on the trip we saw three one swam alongside then went under the boat for people at other side to see it, that in itself is amazing.

Super Safari : ( St.Catherine & Canyon )

St Katherine's Monestary was OK the crowds are very off putting though its hard to see everything due to this you need your shoulders covered here ladies and below knee trousers men, this excursion is quite hard on anyone who can't walk a distance for medical reasons as one poor lady found out however as you have to walk about half mile to the monestary from the car park however if you mention your disability to the guide at the beginning you may get a local taxi up to the monestary entrance for an extra fee. The burning bush was the best bit for me as was the Moses' mountain.
Coloured Canyon what can we say but BRILLIANT be aware though if you choose to go into the canyon with the guides who are excellant not to wear white or light coloured trousers as I did as there is a bit of sliding on one' bottom in parts and small jumps through the canyon it reminded me of dry Canyoning. I would'nt recommend anyone with a medical condition to attempt to go down or any one that was big made as there are a couple of small squeezy places toget through however those with a medical condition can stay at the top and admire the magnificant view as my youngest daughter did. The jeep Safari going through the desert to the place where they stop at top of the canyon is absolutly brilliant the jeeps race one another over bumps etc anyone thats done a jeep safari before this is a good one. Note Once down in the canyon you cant turn around and go back its a round walk, for those who do do it it is a welcome refreshing walk from the heat and direct sun the whole canyon once in it is just breathtaking. Highly recommended.

Dolphin Show

We got picked up from our hotel St GEORGE'S Three Corner's taken by Taxi a short distance along the street to the Dolphin show met there by a guide who gave us our tickets and told us our taxi would be waiting for us to take us back to our hotel be aware though if you want either to swim or get your photographs taken with the Dolphins after the show the taxi won't wait for you and you have to find your own way back as we found out luckily we were just along the street from our hotel. The show itself was really enjoyable. As we love nature we were however a bit disappointed at the size of the pool for three Dolphins. My daughter who is special needs thoroughly enjoyed watching the dolphins and to have her photo taken with them afterwards will always be a keepsake for her. The cost of the photo approx. when we were there was £14.00

Excursion , Safari Abu Galum & Blue Hole

We went here on Sat 11 Oct 2008 This was a really good excursion for those who want to know about the lives of the Bedouin, we travelled through the desert as part of the trip stopping for a second at the simple graves of the Bedouin learning all about them. We stopped for some Bedouin tea which as a non-tea drinker I found very nice and very refreshing. We got a camel ride in Dahab just before lunch which was included which was an experience but our camels were very well behaved no spitting etc that every one tells you they do they were brilliant as was our guide on this trip, we didnt snorkle but the people who did enjoyed themselves. We stopped after lunch at a beach where people who weren't comfortable at the reef could go in for a swim. It was windy here as this is where you will see windsurfers practicing be aware when we were there we did unfortunately get hassled by a Bedouin woman with her kids as usually gave me a braclet told her no money gave it to me as a gift then as I was walking back to jeep she ran like Seb Coe across the sand after me for money if you don't really want to buy just hand it back as I DID, this was the only annoying part of trip also her kids and herself stand close to you while you are changing etc just be aware of your belongings.

Horse Ride

Mum and dad booked with you so that I could experience every horseriders dream to be able to ride an Arabian in the desert. As a horserider of 12 yrs I thoroughly enjoyed my whole trip out at the stables my horse 'CLAY' was gorgous he was really good I enjoyed cantering and trotting in the desert with him and with the sun setting. It was Dad and mum and Gran's first time on horse back they did not too bad mum's horse 'Mickey' was really good with her she did a trot for the first time on him. The whole thing was an amazing experience which I would recommend to anyone as the horses are so gentle with first timers.

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

We went to Cairo by plane while we were in Sharm from 2 Oct- 16Oct 2008. We had an early start but it is worth it. The whole day went very smoothly, our egyptian guide in Cairo who met us off the plane was excellant, he took some really good/funny photos of the four of us at the Pyramids they turned out really good. The trip really gave us a real insight to Cairo life from the moment we were picked up from the airport to the time we were seen back through check in. We saw the sun set behind the pyramids with the Syphinx in the foreground and camels in the background it was magical. We just sat there for about half hour or so watching this and thoroughly enjoyed it. We enjoyed seeing the REAL Cairo as well not just the touristy parts that is what going to see a country on holiday is all about to see the real people. Ahmed was a really good guide. Thankyou for giving us an excellant trip.

This was a re-arranged trip - we should have gone to Ras Mohammed but as we are not confident swimmers and following a jellyfish sting, we decided to go on the glass boat. This was simply stunning - to see all different species of fish only previously seen in aquarium's was incredible. Again, well worth the money.

Excursion to St.Catherine & Dahab from Sharm

This is another trip not to be missed and well worth the money. The included lunch was very nice but, again, drinks are not included. It is certainly an eye-opener travelling to the Monastery - although it is appreciated that the way of life is one the locals know of no other, it made us feel quite humble seeing how they live - no just popping to Tesco for a pint of milk! Also to see a Camel Train on the way home was like the icing on the cake - wonder where they had been?

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

There is very little I can add to other reviews for this trip. Like everyone I was dubious about handing over the cash for 3 trips booked. However, we were picked up at the Hotel at the time stated and everything went smoothly. This trip is very tiring but I would not have missed it for the world. Everyone should do it. Our guide, Lily, is simply the best. She should have finished the tour at 6.00 p.m. but as our flight home was not until 10.30 p.m. she stayed with us and even took us to a local place which I can only describe as like a town square not usually frequented by visitors. We had a true egyptian meal and was very cheap. Lily even made it possible for us to go inside the Mosque (one side for the men and the other for the women). The only real downside to this trip was the included lunch. The food was not very nice and none of our party could eat it. It was also disappointing that after ordering our drinks we were told they were not included. These were very expensive. However, make this trip the top of your list - well worth the money.

We actually did the two hour Quad Biking Trip. This was well worth the money. It was amazing to be driving along the desert on a quad bike and great fun. A tour guide takes you around and you also visit a few locals for a cold drink. Take plenty of sun block as you can burn very quickly in the desert.

Our rep met us in our hotel at our agreed time and we paid in advance which we were understandably nervous about. However this was well worth it. The trip was amazing. We had an interesting look around the Egyptian museum and the Pyramids were amazing to see. I definately recommend paying the 25 Egyptian Dollars to enter one of the pyramids...however if you dont like tight spaces you may not like it. Be warned that every toilet you visit will have someone selling toilet paper for a tip so if you get caught short take some change ;-P

Thanks to our tour guide Abdul who was excellent, he was full of knowledge and had a great sense of humour.

cairo is amazing, however the bus journey is long and you end up very tired. The english speaking guide was great, and the sights made the journey worth it. Luxor and Cairo by plane from Sharm ( 2 days )

Booked a 2 day excursion to Cairo and Luxor before we left the UK by internet with www.Sharmexcusions.com Definitely worth every penny and much cheaper than booking at the resort when you get there. It was a fantastic experience and not one to be missed when going so far. We were taken to a few shopping outlets by our guides which seemed to be compulsory but did not detract from our experience. The guides were very willing to change the itinerary to suit your requirements. Unfortunately we were not as impressed with our excursion to the Sinai Desert and Bedouin Dinner as we found it was not value for money.

Cairo by plane from Sharm One Day Trip - Excursion

Having booked the excursion via the website and nervously handed over the cash in resort prior to departure I can with doubt say it was money well spent.
Our driver to the airport was waiting for us in our hotel lobby at 4.30am! We easily boarded our flight and on landing took the brave decision to leave the arrivals area were to our delight our guide Lily was on the look out waiting for us. To our amazement we were told this was a private tour and the four of us were fortunate to have the expert company of Lily for the whole day. She knew where to go and more importantly when to go to beat the mass tours (no waiting in a massive queue for lunch for us!). Lily was also more than amenable to change the itinery to suit our requirements - we needed to due to more rest being required as it was so hot!
As a general word of advice you will get the usual Egyptian selling techniques from the places you visit. Just remember you can say no!!!
This trip was a once in a lifetime experience for us and thanks to the quality of service and value of Sharm excursions it was one we won't forget. I can unhesitatingly recommend this as the only way to do excursions in Egypt!!

Mohamed we are writing to thank you once again for a most enjoyable trip to Cairo on 3rd July 08. Cairo itself and the sights were fantastic but it was you who really made this trip the highlight of our holiday. Your kindness and generosity will be something we will never forget. There were so many surprises throughout the trip starting with the boat trip on the river Nile . This was something we really wanted to do and although it was not initially on your itinerary we booked with yourself anyway and 1st surprise of the day – a boat trip on the Nile ! Your knowledge of everything we saw throughout the day was fantastic , we don’t know how you can remember so much information! We left the trip really feeling like we had learnt a lot. Your surprise cake in the Papyrus Institute was such a kind gesture, something we will never forget. You made the whole day so personal and you really care for your customers which is something we really value.

Fabulous trip. Be prepared for an early start! and a lot of walking! really enjoyed it, we got to cram in a spot of shopping in Cairo as well as the pyramids, sphinx, museum & paparys museum. Hint 1) do not get on the camels/horses at the back of the pyramids, as they took us behind a sand dune & split us up until we gave them english money. (which we finally got back after 8 women causing a scene!) and 2) dont buy the paparys in Cairo .. you will find much much cheaper in your local towns/markets, especially if you haggle.
Although, unforseeably, there was an accident in Cairo which caused traffic, and ultimately caused us to miss our flight back to Sharm. Mohammed & the airport staff were fantastic, & luckily, got us on the next flight back.

Cairo is a MUST, you can't go all the way to Egypt with seeing the Pyramids. Going by bus is a cheap way of experiencing Cairo, although personally I would recomend flying there. It's a gruelling 6 hour bus transfer each way on a crowded hot bus. You do get to see all the main attractions as well as having lunch on the Nile, visiting a perfume shop and also an opportunity to buy some Papyrus Paper. I personally would spend the extra money and get a plane but if you're on a limited budget its still worth doing. Sharm Excursions are the cheapest company we found and some people were paying double on the same trip.

We had a lovely day, everything was as promised and extremely well organised. It was real value for money and our guide, Ahmed, was a lovely man who knew all about the history of the pyramids and the tour of the Cairo Museum was really interseting.
Thank you for such a good time and I have recommended your company to people staying in our hotel.
We are now back in cold England but next year if we come back to Sharm el Sheik we shall travel with you again.
Regards
Richard

Cairo by plane

Everything was absolutely spot on. What a fantastic day, couldn't fault anything. Cheaper than Sharm too. The guide was brilliant and only had 4 in our group. What a fun day - it is a MUST.

Bedouin Show & Dinner

Great for evening entertainment, nice to make a change to the normal evening on our all inclusive trip.
We were a little concerned about booking with sharmexcursions.com as we have never booked excursion on the web, saved us about 25% on each trip and the guides in Egypt were friendly, helpful with good English.
